Stephanie Morris President’s Award Recipient, 2022

The ATR Presidents Award is given to an employee, selected by Barb and Ken Ehresman, for their exceptional contributions to the Company.  It highlights an employee who has shown outstanding dedication, loyalty and work ethic.  An employee who has gone above and beyond in the best interest of ATR.

We are very excited to officially announce the recipient of our yearly Presidents Award for 2022, Stephanie Morris!

Stephanie joined ATR, after a 21-year career at Kent County Department of Public Works, and has been with us for just over 2 years.  She began her ATR journey as the Admin/Compliance Coordinator in the Grand Rapids facility.  She joined us during COVID, when there was no Site Manager, and just as the internal audit was only 4 months out!  She took on the responsibility of educating herself by asking lots of questions, reaching out to the resources available to her, and prepared herself and the site for a successful audit!

Stephanie says “I became fascinated with the Corporate Compliance role and decided that’s where I wanted to move to next!  When the opportunity with Corporate Compliance opened up, I informed the Compliance Manager I was interested in working on the Corporate Compliance Team and was offered the job.  So I accepted a new challenge to learn more about ATR’s processes and procedures and when asked to help prepare for the R2v3ROIS certifications I jumped in to help and learn as much as I could in the limited about of time we had.”

She is very proud that she didn’t give up during this difficult time and was able to push aside doubt to see the light at the end of the tunnel and now looks back and observes the positive outcome that she was lucky to be a part of.

Well Stephanie, ATR is the lucky one.  You truly went above and beyond, working endless hours, without hesitation and did everything you could to ensure the audits were successful!

Stephanie has been married to Steve for 25 years and they have 3 amazing children;

  • Brook is 24 and completed her Masters in Project Management and is currently a Project Manager for a residential and commercial property damage/restoration company.
  • Madison is 20 and working on her Bachelors of Science degree in Communications Sciences and Disorders and will then be pursuing her Masters of Science in Speech Pathology so she can work with children.
  • And Hayden is 17 and a Senior in High School and involved in soccer and golf

Besides spending time with her family Stephanie is a master volunteer involved in leadership positions with the Girl Scouts, her local Park and Recreation Board, and her Neighborhoods Homomers Association.  She also has been very involved in her children’s school fundraisers and Senior All Night Party event.

Stephanie is a true leader and is always willing to go out of her way to help in any way she can.  She strives to be a leader that others would want to be led by.

One of Stephanie’s favorite quotes is

“Don’t let fear stop you from trying something, if you don’t succeed it’s still a great learning opportunity.”

Well, Stephanie…you truly live by that and have achieved much success.

Congratulations Stephanie, on this very deserving award!
