It’s Official!! Earth Day Goal Reached, New World Record Set!


This is the Official Earth Day Goal Thermometer page for the OMPC (One Million Pound Challenge) record attempt.  Each of the 6 participating ATR facilities had 2 independent witnesses to report the Official Earth Day Goal results to the head judge.  Photographic evidence and detailed reporting was compiled daily and we’re proud to announce ATR set a new world Record on April 25th, 2015 at 6:00 PM.  During the epic challenge ATR unofficially surpassed additional recycling records on our way to the largest Electronics Recycling goal of all time.  “Most consumer electronics recycled in 1 week across multiple locations).  This unprecedented achievement would  not have been possible without the support of our customers and the communities we serve…on behalf of the entire ATR staff we would like to congratulate everyone who took the “One Million Pound Challenge”


Thank you for helping us reach our goal and keeping over one million pounds of electronics out of landfills in just 1 week, now imagine what we can do in 1 year!!  The official Guinness World record weight is 1, 180,442 Pounds and the equipment continues to come in.  This epic task was used benchmark our operations and reporting capabilities and we’re happy to announce we passed with flying colors.  In the months to come our management staff will analyze the data collected and use it to improve our infrastructure and increase our capabilities.
