Important Service Alert regarding mandatory facility closure in Pontiac, IL and Tonawanda (Buffalo) NY

Important ATR Covid 19 service alert to announce closing of tonawanda NY and Pontiac IL facility closures

In accordance with Gov. Pritzker of Illinois’ mandatory ‘stay at home’ order ATR will be closing our Pontiac IL Corporate Headquarters and processing facilities located at 902 North Hazel and 601 E Prairie Street until the ban is lifted. Although the news was just released contingency planning has been underway since the outbreak began escalating in the U.S.

Our infrastructure will facilitate all levels of management and key personnel from Sales, Compliance, Logistics, IT and Operations to continue working safely from home. The team can effectively monitor operations remotely and provide advanced support to the remaining facilities that remain operational.

As of today, ATR facilities located in Grand Rapids, MI, San Antonio, TX, Birmingham, AL, Richmond, VA and Salt Lake City UT and remain fully operational with no reported exposures to the COVID-19 virus.

Additionally, in accordance with Governor Andrew Cuomo’s mandatory closing of all nonessential business in New York, ATR will be temporarily closing our Tonawanda, (Buffalo) NY facility due to the COVID 19 outbreak as of 3-20-2020.

To reduce the impact to our business customers all previously scheduled shipments are being rerouted to the nearest ATR facility when possible. Work flows currently in process at these locations will be suspended as the facilities initiate a series of lock down protocols designed to protect the integrity of warehoused assets and operational procedures. ATR will continue to monitor and manage the facility in real time via secure VPN tunnels and “Smart” technologies. Additionally, strategic regional personnel will continue working from home to provide ongoing customer support and updates as needed.

Unfortunately, there will be processing and reporting delays, so we encourage any customers with time sensitive projects to alert their account managers as time permits.

The Tonawanda shut down is being managed by Jared Fitch who can be contacted directly at J.Fitch@ATrecycle.com All customer phone calls, inquiries, and emails will be routed to our Corporate headquarters in Pontiac IL where they’ll be monitored by Senior Management. Limited customer Service Representatives remain available during regular business hours to help answer questions at www.ATrecycle.com or call toll-free at 877-781-7779 or email Support@ATrecycle.com

ATR has no suspected cases of COVID 19 exposure at this time and we will remain open at all other facilities except for Las Vegas NV which was closed on 3/18/20. New York staff members have been instructed to follow all State mandated social distancing protocols and we’re confident when the ban is lifted the NY staff will resume operations quickly.

Please forward this message to anyone on your team affected by the mandated closure and we’ll continue to provide updates as they occur.
