residential communities and medium-to large-size organizations
in the State of Illinois, as well as, across the United States.
ATR specializes in providing a customized Asset Recovery and

customers. In coordination with the Grand Opening, ATR and

Competitiveness
Pontiac, IL– In their continuing efforts to promote
environmentally-friendly ways of expanding the regional
economy, ATR announced today the award of $120,000 in
grants from the Illinois Department of Commerce and
Economic Opportunity (DCEO) to expand both its
electronics recycling collection and processing

This 2010 grant is
the third grant ATR has received in 5 years. The
success of these grants has enabled ATR to grow
successfully from an employee base of five in 2005 to 30
employees in 2010.
A $74,970 grant was
awarded to help ATR expand its processing services.
Grant funds will be used to purchase an inline low
speed, hi torque shredder/sorter. This type of shredder
will allow ATR to mechanically process certain E-scrap
items saving time as well as, producing better back end
materials for recycling. It is also expected to lead to
the creation of at least two full-time jobs.
A $45,030 grant was
awarded to help ATR expand its collection capabilities.
Grant funds will be used to purchase an additional
24foot box truck with lift, pallet racking system and
hard drive security cage. The purpose of this grant is
to lend support to ATR’s collection efforts that is
further expanding into the surrounding Counties,
eventually covering the entire downstate Illinois area.
